May & Baker Nigeria Plc may soon receive returns on their investment as the Federal Executive Council ratified its agreement with the pharmaceutical firm for local vaccine production. The Managing Director said that the partners will immediately take steps to reconstitute the board of Biovaccines Nigeria Limited.

Julphar Gulf Pharmaceutical eyes $544m sales by 2020

UAE-based pharmaceuticals giant Julphar has announced plans to expand its sales to more than AED2 billion ($544 million) by 2020. Julphar Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries announced the target as it said it achieved sales amounting to AED369.3 million with a net profit of AED44.1 million in the first quarter of 2017.

Boryung Pharm wins $37.7 million contract in Africa

Boryung Pharmaceuticals signed an exclusive $37.7-million supply contract with South African pharmaceutical company Kiara Health to provide its high-blood pressure drugs to 10 African countries. The deal comes as a new addition to the company’s list of license-out contracts in a total of 51 countries amounting to $413.6 million. Boryung signed an export agreement with Kiara Health in December to supply three of its injectable anticancer drugs in the same 10 African countries.
