Exxon Mobil opened talks in Ghana to undertake Deepwater exploration off its coast

The Ghanaian government opted for direct negotiations with Exxon without open competitive tendering. The country expects to increase oil production to around 250,000 barrels per day by 2019.

Eni signs an exploration and production sharing agreement with Oman

Eni signed a 55% interest EPSA on the unexplored Block 52 Offshore Oman following its strategy to strengthen its presence in the Middle East. Eni will operate the block with Qatar Petroleum and NOC Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production.

Eni to operate Angola’s Cabinda North Block with a 48% block’s right

Eni and Sonangol signed an agreement of operatorship of the block. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to define joint projects which expand the scope of Eni’s operations in Angola.

NNPC, Chevron rap up $1.7billion deal to Increase crude oil, gas production

Nigerian National Petroleum and Chevron Nigeria Limited executed a $1.7 billion deal to increase crude oil production. The alternative financing agreement would increase crude oil production in Nigeria in the country by about 39,000 barrels per day.

BP seeks stake in Cairn Energy Senegal assets

Cairn Energy is in talks to sell 30% stake to BP for its Senegalese field valued at $600 million. Oil majors have been increasingly homing in on the waters off Senegal, as well as neighbors Mauritania and Gambia, where they suspect hundreds of millions of barrels lie.

The first phase of Khazzan will include 200 wells feeding into a two-train central processing facility, estimated to 10.5 trillion cubic feet of recoverable gas resources.

Abu Dhabi is planning to boost capacity of Upper Zakum Offshore oil field

Abu Dhabi will boost the capacity of the Upper Zakum Offshore field, the fourth largest oil field in the world, to 1 million barrels per day by 2024.The agreement was signed with Exxo, Mobil and Inpex Corp.
